Ricky Stenhouse Jr. replaces Tony Stewart for NASCAR's Sprint Unlimited


Casey Mears will race in place of retired Jeff Gordon


Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will replace Tony Stewart for this year’s first NASCAR race.

 


The Sprint Unlimited, a 25-car shootout, will be held on Feb. 13 at Daytona.


 


Stenhouse gets the nod in place of Stewart, who will sit out the first several races of the season with a back injury.


 


Stewart had surgery Wednesday for injuries sustained during an ATV accident on Jan. 31 in California.


 


Stenhouse was the second driver added to the field — Casey Mears was named as replacement…
